About Us

Miami Valley Masonry Inc. was established in 1979, by Allen York and his brother-in- law, Ken Prior. Allen was the leadership of the company, acquiring all of the contractual work, with Ken running the field operations and forming a strong group of masonry employees.

The company began with a small masonry division but has grown over the past 29 years into a strong, competitive masonry leader for our area. Allen and Ken together had over 45 years of masonry experience when they started the company.

Miami Valley Masonry began to flourish after 5 years in business and at that time Ken Prior decided to separate and form his own masonry business. Allen continued with the business and it thrived in the early years. Allen took over all the field operations along with his leadership duties and moved the company forward. Allen’s son-in-law, Eric Holliman joined the company in 1986 and worked in the field operations learning the business from the ground up. He was then trained by Allen to take over the estimating duties for the company and now resides as the chief estimator.

The company continued to grow and in the process won many masonry awards for brick, block and stonework. Miami Valley Masonry's policy was and continues to be to keep quality employees working, do the very best masonry possible and continue to look for opportunities to grow and expand.

In 1996, Allen brought two of his daughters into the company to assume leadership roles. Joy and Diana helped move the internal workings of the company from a “Mom and Pop” operation to the current computer based facility that it now is. They updated all office procedures as well as the field safety systems to make “safety first” the policy for Miami Valley Masonry.

With the combination of Allen’s years of experience, Eric’s estimating, and Joy and Diana’s skills in the operation of the company, Miami Valley Masonry has continued to succeed. Many of our field employees have been with the company for 15 to 20 years and this enables us to offer our expert masonry service to the contracting community. Over the past 26 years Miami Valley Masonry has continued to be a recognized name in the masonry field, and will continue to be.
